Start of production of Baltic Sea pipeline pipes

The first sheathed pipes for the 1,200-kilometres Baltic Sea gas pipeline are delivered to the ferry port in Sassnitz, Germany, 29 April 2009. The production of the pipe sheathing factory has started that gives the pipes more weight and stability for their location on the bottom of the Baltic Sea. Some 19,400 pipes are currently stored at the ferry port
