Brooklyn Residents Protest Start Of Massive Atlantic Yards Project
NEW YORK - MARCH 11: Part of the Atlantic Yards is seen before a ground breaking ceremony of the controversial Atlantic Yards project which is set to officially begin following years of delays and court challenges on March 11, 2010 in the Brooklyn borough of New York. In an elaborate ground breaking ceremony featuring New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Governor David Paterson and rapper Jay-Z among others, construction will begin on the $4.9 million project which will feature a basketball arena at the Atlantic Yards site.
